Spicy Baked Ziti with Chicken Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ziti pasta (cook reserve ½ cup pasta water)
- 2 lb Chicken (boneless cut in cubes)
- 2 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 32 oz marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cup ricotta cheese
- 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
- 1 Cup Parmesan
- Fresh Basil (for seasoning)
- Dried Oregano (for seasoning)
How to Make Spicy Chicken Baked Ziti?
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook ziti noodles according to the package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cubed chicken until done. Drain and discard excess water.
- Add marinara sauce and reserved pasta water. Let it simmer for 10-5 minutes.
- Take a glass baking dish, and add chicken and sauce mixture.
- Layer the cooked Ziti noodles on top following the ricotta cheese
- Add seasonings like basil & oregano, and mix them well.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with foil paper, and bake for at least 20 mins.
